This playroom is a work in progress for several months, but we’re finally nearing completion and I had to take a few pictures!
I still need to hang one more set of curtains and pics on the wall, but otherwise it is DONE. And little boy loooooves it down there. Heck, *I* [...]

Kitchen chemistry, playing outside and new toys

Kitchen experiments:
1. Discovered you can’t hurry yogurt. Just stick with the crock pot instructions. Oh well. It was only 1/2 gallon of milk. Can’t win every time!
2. Sourdough–I didn’t get the bread made, but managed pancakes using the starter! They were simple and tasty! NOTE for future: [...]

Meet the new kids! All are available in the shop. (Well, the little dolls are available, the big one was a custom request for a friend’s little boy.)

Part two of the MDC team give-away is up and in action. This time it’s more focused on moms with babies, so there’s a beautiful diaper bag (which I’m going to be sad when it leaves my house–it’s so pretty!!), some baby toys, foot soak, and other lovely things just for fun. (I’ve [...]
Happy Easter!

We had a whole weekend of Easter festivities in between dealing with a semi-sick kiddo.
We visited the farm babies at the zoo (before realizing he was still sick–two year olds with a possible visit to the zoo are stoic…the fever gave him away later in the afternoon):
Took a stab at coloring eggs. [...]

Worked hard to finish these little guys and then the camera disappeared! But it’s found, so I’m proud to share these new dolls! (The little velour ones may look familiar.)
They’re all up and listed in my etsy shop. My two year old is in love with these guys, and I [...]

Let me just start by saying that I never pictured ever being able to put something like this together for my son—so I’m pleased as punch! A lot of it goes to learning new skills and both making some of the things myself and selling some of my handwork on etsy. Thanks also [...]
Our new toy kitchen!

Our new toy kitchen arrived today! Even though the playroom is still full of STUFF (yes, that’s a headboard behind the kitchen), we had to set it up and bring down all of the cooking stuff and felt food! (And yes, by “we”, I mean “Me”.)
The first meal he cooked for me in [...]
More needle-felting fun!

Yes, I tend to go over-board with new projects.
Started a playscape last night. I have very limited colors left, and totally ran out of red and green, so it will have wait until I get more colors to finish it up. But it’s starting out pretty cute I think!
Little campfire for the gnomes:
And [...]
And this is why I’ll never be a master at any one craft…

…I keep finding cool new crafts to try! I asked for and received some needle-felting materials for Christmas but hadn’t progressed beyond making a couple of the sample projects and a felt ball or two
I keep seeing cool needle-felted things and thinking “But *I* can make that!” Ok, I couldn’t replicate some people’s [...]
